“Reinvention doesn’t erase the past—it expands on it.”

For more than 25 years, Wanda Knight has mastered the art of leadership in one of the toughest arenas: enterprise technology sales at a Fortune 20 company. Known for her sharp strategic thinking and calm command under pressure, she built a reputation as a leader who blends accountability with trust—a balance that fuelled her success for decades.

Now, Wanda is proving that reinvention has no age limit. Trading corporate convention for creativity, she has stepped boldly into the world of fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and digital influence. From global fashion weeks to Formula 1 circuits, her story is one of boldness, balance, and vision.

We sat down with Wanda to talk about her career evolution, her passions, and what comes next.

Q: Travel seems central to your perspective. How has it shaped you?

Wanda: Travel is one of my greatest teachers. I’ve visited 38 countries, and each trip takes me out of my comfort zone. From Paris to Dubai to Cape Town, every culture expands how I see the world. That global lens not only enriches my life but also strengthens my leadership in diverse, multicultural environments.

“Travel takes you out of your comfort zone and teaches you to see the world through a global lens.”

Q: You’re also a big fan of Formula 1. What does the sport mean to you?

Wanda: I first discovered Formula 1 when I was 15, attending the Mexico City Grand Prix with my father. Since then, I’ve been to multiple races, including Silverstone. For me, Formula 1 is more than entertainment—it’s a metaphor for leadership. Passing at those speeds isn’t just talent; it’s strategy under pressure. Leaders, like drivers, must make split-second decisions, balance risks, and execute with confidence.

“Passing at those speeds isn’t just talent—it’s strategy.”

Q: You’ve been making waves in fashion recently, attending global events. What has that experience been like?

Wanda: Incredible. I’ve attended Forces of Fashion in New York, Vogue World in Paris, the Met Gala Viewing Party, and most recently Halifax Fashion Week. Halifax especially stood out—the final show was a creative showcase of designers, models, and artists at their best. Such talented individuals—it was inspiring. Supporting platforms that elevate emerging talent is very important to me.

“Halifax brought out all stops for the final show—such talented designers, models, photographers, hair and makeup.”

Q: Your personal style seems very intentional. How would you describe it?

Wanda: Timeless elegance. I love designers like Victoria Beckham, Cynthia Rowley, Chanel, Norma Kamali, Simkai, and Vehla. My beauty and wellness choices also reflect that same intention—Dr Barbara Sturm, UBeauty, Summer Fridays, Arbonne, and Cymbiotika are among my favourites. For me, it’s about aligning with brands that embody quality, innovation, and well-being.

“For me, style isn’t just about clothes—it’s about aligning with brands that embody excellence and innovation.”

Q: Many people hesitate to change course later in life. What gave you the courage to reinvent yourself?

Wanda: Reinvention wasn’t optional for me—it was necessary. I’ve always been curious and bold. I don’t see turning 40 or 50 as a limit; I see it as an opportunity to expand. A year ago, I wasn’t even thinking about being a creative. But I knew I loved fashion and travel and believed I could build authority in these spaces, just like I did in sales.

“Reinvention doesn’t erase the past—it expands on it.”

Q: You’re still an executive at a Fortune 100 company while building your digital brand. How do you balance both worlds?

Wanda: It’s definitely a balance, but I thrive on challenge. In my corporate role, I’m responsible for enterprise strategies and mentoring top-performing teams. Outside of work, I channel that same energy into building my digital presence. My content isn’t just style—it’s empowerment. I want women, especially over 40, to know that reinvention isn’t only possible—it’s powerful.

“My content isn’t just style—it’s empowerment.”

Q: You’ve led a high-pressure career in tech sales. What’s been your guiding formula for success?

Wanda: Sales is high performance, and numbers don’t lie. My approach has always been preparation, adaptability, and consistent execution. I give my teams ownership of their results while offering guidance when needed. That balance builds both loyalty and performance. Over the years, I’ve been honoured with awards like Salesperson of the Year and Sales Leader of the Year. But the recognition I cherish most was when my team voted me one of the Best People Leaders. That told me I wasn’t just achieving results—I was making a difference in people’s careers.

“Numbers don’t lie—success is built on preparation, adaptability, and execution.”

Q: Looking ahead, what legacy do you want to build?

Wanda: My vision is to be remembered as a bold, confident leader who achieved at the highest levels—but also as someone who was kind, supportive, and intentional about lifting others. I plan to expand mentorship programmes, collaborate with brands, and volunteer to help women embrace reinvention. Reinvention doesn’t mean erasing your past; it means carrying your experiences forward and starting exactly where you are.

“Legacy is about impact—helping others see that reinvention is always possible.”

From Fortune 20 boardrooms to fashion’s front rows, Formula 1 circuits to global stages, Wanda J. Knight is proof that strategy and creativity can coexist—and that reinvention is a lifelong art.
